FAVIER Group’s thermal protection sleeving is mostly made from ultra-high performance composite materials such as fibreglass (SE reference), silica fibre (SI reference) and basalt fibre (TBA reference). These base materials are enhanced with other materials, whose technical properties give the final product new characteristics depending on the client requirements:
- Aluminium-pigmented silicon rubber coating: the fibreglass in the insulating sleeving with references SCS, 15C and SCS ALU provides protection from heat, which is then reinforced by the aluminium reflecting surrounding heat off the sleeving and reducing the heat inside.
- Aqueous phase or silicon impregnation, high-temperature treatment: each type of thermal protection sleeving (IS, 21F1, 21C, SS, SHT) is extremely flexible, with extra-thin walls and excellent resistance to fraying.
